Ship the AI features powering customer projects and Tembo — from retrieval pipelines to agent tooling.
Must have
- 3+ years shipping production software with Python or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with at least one LLM provider API (OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent) beyond toy projects
- Comfort building retrieval pipelines (chunking, embeddings, vector search)
- Ability to scope an ambiguous customer request into a 2–3 week deliverable
- Clear written communication — most of your scoping and review happens in Slack and Notion
Nice to have
- Experience fine-tuning or evaluating open-weight models
- Background working with small-business clients (retail, logistics, services)
- Prior Next.js / React work (we use it on most engagements)
Compensation
